Summary of Induction Interview - Pawn 44

By: The King

If there is one thing his parents and friends agree on (albeit for different reasons) it's that life just wouldn't be the same without Charlie. Wherever Charlie goes he spreads humour, positivity, and good cheer - whether his co-workers are in the mood for it or not. He has expressed that being chosen to be a Consortium officer has been the highlight of his life, and certainly exceeded his wildest dreams for himself.

Charlie wasn't always the jovial man he is today, however. Growing up for him was always a struggle. After a complicated early childhood, which nearly drove his parents to their wits' ends, it was discovered that Charlie was considered a high-functioning autistic. This mostly surfaced in his clumsy attempts at social interaction, and his persistent speech impediment which took what seemed like a lifetime of speech therapy to overcome. For years and as a result of this condition, Charlie suffered from crippling shyness and anxiety whenever he was around other people. But once diagnosed and treatment began, a new Charlie came forth into the world.

Part of Charlie's treatment involved a large focus on confidence building. Between his new-age therapists and his supportive, yet hippy parents, Charlie was encouraged to consistently set goals for himself and work to achieve them. In this way, he began to develop an incredibly positive attitude towards life, and his unfailing optimism often spreads quite infectiously to others around him.

Before long he found a love in several different fields of Engineering; in particular mechanical and biomechatronic. Learning what he could through at-home VR classes let his incredibly crowded brain expand and explore in ways he never thought possible. Through his schooling, Charlie met the infamous Walter Greenberg who was very well known in biomechatronic circles as a sort of god. Walter was in fact the lead engineer responsible for building... well, for building me. He is also a very good friend of mine.

Charlie soon thereafter became what you might call an apprentice of the biomechatronic god. The two of them worked and theorized together for countless hours over various projects Walter was a part of. That is until a few weeks ago when Greenberg spoke with me and suggested Charlie be considered for an open position aboard Zenlil. Without hesitation, and knowing Walter would never give out a recommendation lightly, I invited Charlie to become Pawn 44.

Charlie is a very genuine and honest man. He defines the term, "what you see is what you get," as he appears to have no hidden agendas or ulterior motives of any kind. In fact, it is my opinion that Charlie seems downright incapable of lying.
