I'll come right to the point: the Afflicted have compromised the OmegaNet system. Somehow they managed to shut it down, presumably from one or all of the stations in the Australia/New Zealand sector. Within hours of their assault upon our technology, they began an extremely coordinated attack on many OmegaNet bunkers and major cities throughout the world. We've had reports that confirm all of the attacks were initiated at precisely the same moment, and there was no warning.
Most other fledgling attempts at rebuilding civilization have failed, and the ERO and NAR remain as the only relatively stable organizations which are maintaining safe-areas. South Africa stands as the only confirmed semi-safe area for Europeans to seek out beyond the ERO bases.
Zones 12 and 15 are temporarily offline; as far as we can determine, they were not destroyed, but have sustained huge casualties and damage to their bunker facilities and equipment.
Massive, well-coordinated attacks have also been launched against several strategic ERO bunkers, but we have successfully repelled the Afflicted so far. General Brenton, do you have anything to report?
