Green Party MP Open Advocate for Guardian Church -
The Canadian Green Party received another seat in Parliament today. MP Malcolm Thomas, a young up and loser for the party, is moving to follow in the footsteps of Elizabeth May. Originally from Prince Edward Island, Thomas is well known for an open attitude about his horribly troubled childhood and his policies regarding religious freedom from state, specifically for that of the Guardian Church.
He is currently a follower of the Guardian Church, a hot topic all around the world right now. And it's only getting hotter. In 2015 the President of the U.S. called it a "phenomenon religion that holds no long-lasting staying power." In 2020 the subsequent President called it, "the single most unifying force of good on the planet."
Whatever staying power the Guardian Church may or may not hold, it's still this bloggers opinion that we not let such a devoutly religious advocate for a new-age religion, step anywhere near high tier Canadian politics. There's no place for such religious bias, not in this day and age.
